First off I've browsed here for a bit and decided to register. I've dusted off my old horn after a 12 yr break

I've still got my old silver Bach TR200. Its had some repairs and my acidic skin had eaten off the finish around the valves long ago.

I cleaned it up and still have my tone. I still remember the fingerings but the chops just aren't the same.

My young boys are showing some interest. I've been shopping ebay hoping for a deal on something used/vintage under $100 that was a starter/intermediate horn they could learn on and worst case I could use some too.

Any suggestions or is this a hopeless cause?

Ideally I'd find an old Mount Vernon strad at a garage sale for $50 and give em mine :)

I'm in the DFW area and a former student of Woody Yenne if anyone knows him.
