This is a New York State Law,some states have it different
Even when I travel in state,the gun MUST be locked in the trunk of my car,amo must be separate and away from the gun.The gun must have a lock on the case as well.
That's how it is with hand guns.Before you buy it,the shop will run an FBI check,and then 6 month later,they just might give you permision to apply for a permit,that will take another 6 month.
