My New Lawler C7

I've had my new Lawler C7 for a couple of weeks now. I got mine in bright gold plate.

When I got home I played it for about 3 hours straight! Here are my first impressions. It really does what a lot of other people have commented on. It's nice and mellow (Milesy and Chet-like) at lower volumes but at higher volumes it lights up. I am very happy with how I can color the sound on this trumpet! The slots are less defined for doing bends and shakes but I still feel locking in of the notes when doing lip slurs. While my 37GH gets a wonderfully rich and thick orchestral sound (and I'll continue to use it) the C7 responds to my commands to change color and is more responsive to mouthpiece changes. It's plays smooth and even. Very responsive easy playing horn. Yeah, I likes it!
