| Not that I'm adding anything to this thread...ha..but I played this show with Ralph Maccio (sp?) in the lead role... Well, let's just put it this way... the opening scene is the star (Maccio)...sitting on a kind of swing (actually, it's more like one of those things that window washers stand on, high up the side of a building)... Maccio sings that number...and that was the last we saw of him the rest of the night. The rest of that week of the show, for that matter. He was actually very sick and thought he could hang in there..but, nope. Imagine the audience's confusion...wondering where the heck is Ralph! He's the Karate Kid, for cryin' out loud!! ha. We all felt pretty bad for the guy...and being the only "star draw" for the show, it became kind of lackluster. I think it's still a funny show.. and certainly remember the movie (yes..Wilmer!! Robert Morse!!! )
