Now I am a little nervous...My Passat has its 80,000 mile service due which the VW dealer tells me is the big one and costs around 400 bucks.....but how do I know they did what the service interval says they are supposed to do...when I am sitting there having a complimentary beverage in there waiting room or test driving a '07 model or whatever......I sure hope these types of scams are not happening with big name car dealers.....are you even allowed to go into the shop and watch the mechanic work? Is there a polite way to ask to see the old or bad parts?
