| Sony makes a GREAT mic for this purpose. It's ONLY drawback is that is uses a battery...one AA, to be exact. BUT, if you turn it off, it lasts quite a while. The mic is stereo, has an adjustable switch for 90 or 180 degree coverage, and is hardwired with a 1/8" jack (perfectly compatible with your laptop's mic input!). No drivers needed. It runs for about $99 bucks.
