kadleck has a spectacular aura about

I have not done too much with in-ear monitors. I've done a few things where the whole band has needed them for the click track, but it didn't involve hearing an actual mix. Also, I've never been able to play with earplugs, so in-ears would be a big adjustment for me.

I'm currently doing a show where everything in on headphones. Although we all have individual mixers, the trumpet, trombone and french horn are all on the same track. I can hear myself when I'm playing high F's - which is about 1% of the time - but only hear trombone and french horn for the rest of the show. I basically just turn off the brass, take one side of the headphones off, and try to hear acoustically. Not ideal.

I would check with TM member Allchops (Tony Gambaro). He may have had some experience with the in-ear thing.

Good luck with it. If you find something that works, let us know.
