Bach Omega

Please inform me if I am incorrect but my understanding was that the Bach Omega line of horns was a "step up" instrument between the student model TR-300 (with 1st slide saddle) and the Bach Stradivarius professional models. The TR-200 was also a lower level student model horn just like the TR-300 but without the 1st slide saddle and with an adjustable 3rd slide ring.

A private student of mine a few years ago purchased an Omega model horn and it was very good...but.....for the money she paid, I would have had her get a quality used Bach Strad or waited a little longer to save up for a new Strad.

The post about a $150 Omega must have been refering to a real "steal" of a deal as even a few years ago the Omega were listing for $1200 or there about (retail).

I was also under the impression that Bach stopped making the Omegas a while back (even before the strike) so any new ones coming around now must have been stockpiled in inventory. I may be incorrect in this however.
