Mulligan will become famous soon enough
Greetings

Hello all,

Well I've been lurking around these boards for a couple weeks now and considering my circumstances, I've decided its high time to register. My career as a trumpeter has been an odd one. I'll spare you the majority of the details but suffice it to say I'm what you'd call a Comeback. After pursuing a BA in Performance for 5 years, I experienced some severe disenchantment with the activity and what I thought was a terminal case of burn-out. Fast forward 7 years, a wife, 2 children, a successful career in the construction industry and a near divorce to today. I have found there is something lacking in my life: namely music. Although I have continued to listen avidly (much to the dismay of my wife whose ear is as tin as the man from Oz) I sorely miss performing.
So, after 7 years of chop apathy, I've made the nearly insane decision to abandon my current career and take a mulligan as a musician. Mind you, I won't be quitting my day job just yet. I've a long way to go and a difficult road to hoe, but I've learned that my life without music isn't worth living. My quest is the same as its always been, albeit a bit delayed. I am very glad to have found you all and have enjoyed reading the conversations here. I look forward to conversing with you in person.
