wilcox96 has a spectacular aura about
fatcat...

I first wanted to say...I knew you weren't just enamored by the 1 note. I only stated that to make you think of the bigger picture. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders....

You definately have a tough schedule and an overbearing director. You're also right that many (me included) have gone thru it. As long as you aren't doing any damage, this entire experience is probably going to help your endurance in the long run. Hang in there. You might try and find places to lay back a bit or at least pace yourself (maybe work amongst the other players - noting sections where each can lay back a bit then visa versa?? You all can find ways. ). Maybe talking to your director on the side about what you all are experiencing may help. I know he is trying to push you all ... getting the best out of you... but if the performances end up lacking because you all blow yourselves out in rehearsal...? Only you guys can know that.

Okay...back to mpc... There's tons of internet stores that have trial periods. The catch is, paying for all of them up front and dealing with shipping back the ones you don't like. (or re-selling). I know you'd like to find a dealer who has some things in stock or might be willing to order some things for you to try. Point is..you gotta jump in there..seek this stuff out...take a trip to a place...etc.

Best of luck.
