Yeah, I've been meaning to take a trip there for a while. The problem right now is that I'm actually away for school and that I don't have a car. I'm definitely planning on going over Christmas break (barring finding a way to borrow a lead piece and discovering that I can't live without it).

Related to the director, we all have talked to him about it, but I think his thoughts are that the music we're playing this year isn't as high as it was last year so we can play a lot more. Unfortunately we have about half as many first trumpets and we're expected to sound just as loud, which makes it just as hard all over again.
