Thanks for the notice . . . this is very good news for those who missed the original release.

Did you know that Philips only made runs of 1000 for all of the Hakon CDs? This is commonly done by the "major" labels: they typically keep a careful eye on important test markets (New York, Los Angeles, London, etc.) and sales in these markets over a two week period determine if a larger run is warrented. It's one of the reasons that Hakon is no longer at Philips (and also a reason that the so-called "major" labels can be bought today for a song). CDs and record companies are becoming artifacts/history before our very eyes anyway.

A bit of advice for all TMers: if you see a recording that you might be interested in, don't wait...buy it! It will probably be gone the next time you look for it (suggestion to all: the new Hakon Gruber/Eotvos/Turnage disc on DGG. It's wonderful and bound to be a small seller. Thank God for Volvo for funding it in the first place!).
