the8thchef is an unknown quantity at this point
...the last session album.... man, that thing changed my life and my angle on music. when i first heard 'angela', and most especially 'croquet ballet'; then later i finally understood what was going on in 'inner passions out'. incredible....if anyone wants to doubt what lee morgan means to jazz, and to trumpet playing, listen to his storytelling on 'croquet ballet'. his playing on that is like jet li's fearless!!! everything that he ever had to say was said there. and i still cant help but to imagine what he would've been playing further into the 70s. i ask him to play for me every now and again, but he usually just laughs, or tells a joke. but i'm going to get it out of him one of these days.

but, yeah. thanks lee morgan for his light and continuing guidance.
