I don't have that recording but do recall seeing and listening to Billy Harper's live performance of the tune "Croquet ballet."
A strange thing happened last Friday (Oct 20),while listening to WDUQ (90.5) here in Pittsburgh,Pa .
The DJ announced it was Eddie Harris' birthday and went on to play
"The Sidewinder" from "The Last Concert" (recorded with the WDR Big band that featured Andy Haderer;Rob Bruynen; Klaus Osterloh;Rudiger Baldauf;John Marshall on trumpets.
While listening to the song,I recall the morning of Feb 20,1972 when I awoke and turned my Pioneer radio on to WRVR to later hear that Lee was shot and killed.
I went into a funk and was angry for days.
My last memory of talking with him was a week earlier.
