Jimmy Owens was a highlight. He played his butt off on Con Alma. They did it in 5/4 time.
Annie Ross was Annie Ross She sang a poignant ballad about all the Giants of the Music who were gone, but who lives on today in the hearts of lovers of Jazz.
It was a dazzling evening.

Short of being there to enjoy what must have been a wonderful evening, your description so touchingly done will suffice.

I recall when Jimmy was a member of Mr.Gillespie's Big Band of 1968 that also included Dizzy Reese,James Moody, and Brooklyn's own Cecil Payne.

In parting, what is required from a non-musician like myself to get to hang with you NIGHT OWLS ?

Live well,laugh often,love much.
