Seems to be a common theme with my threads, doesn't it?
Hakan has released yet another CD, this one of trumpet solo works. It includes HK Gruber's "Exposed Throat," which I'm sure many of us have been waiting patiently for. It appears to have only been released in Europe so far (thank god for amazon.de) so the shipping is a little pricy, but well worth it. It's out on BIS and has some other interesting stuff on it including Daniel Börtz' "Painting," Rogin Holloway's "Sonata for solo trumpet," and Robert Henderson's "Variation Movements." My copy is in the mail and hopefully I write something of a tasteful and purely educatoinal (i.e. non-critical) review of the CD after it arrives. It can be ordered here:

I'd recommend ordering from one of the sellers as they generally have it in stock as opposed to amazon who takes 1-3 weeks to ship it.
