How are the two Robin Holloway sonatas related? One is for solo trumpet and one is for two trumpets, but they were written at the same times, are cataloged as his "op. 94a" and "op. 94b," and are the same length. Is the second part simply optional? I'm not familiar with either save having the GBYO book.
I don't know the Börtz piece at all, but I enjoyed his Concerto and am very interested to hear it. |
