I never played the Zimmerman Concerto...I am not sure that I am able to play it correctly (I tried to read it 1 year ago, but there was too many intonation problems for me)...Sure, I may try one day, but this day has not come yet. Of course, there is many concertos, which are clearly more interesting than J. William's but Maurice Andre told me once than I should learn as many concerto as I can...Both Jolivet and Tomasi Concertos, I can think of some Ewazen and Turrin pieces which are very interesting (and I am quite sure that you would not disagree with me on that) are much more interesting but after all everyone plays Jolivet and Tomasi, that's why I decided to bring to the masterclass something different...I wish I was present in 1988. Tell me if you are to come again around.
