Deys purdy alright, but for simplicity of upkeep and long term satisfaction with a finish, ya can't beat plain ol' "bright" gold plating!!!

No polishing, no brass or tarnishing silver "smell" on your hands . . . just a drop dead gorgeous gold look!

You just rinse 'em down occasionally, then pat 'em dry with a soft cotton baby diaper (or equivalent).

My WT Bb trumpet and cornets are both bright goldplate. Here's a shot of my WT short model cornet, just before I got the mouthpiece's short shank backbore gold plated too in order to match the rest of the horn and mouthpiece. Sometimes I use this shot as my computer's "wallpaper."
