Also, many horns are "restored" to "like-new" condition, fooling even the most discerning "experts" (hate that word!). Remember the "Shroud of Turin" controversy?
Serial-number lists are notoriously unreliable, as sourced from companies that have changed ownership during their history.
Enjoy your horn. It is not considered a high-level "collectible" instrument, whatever the year of origin.
