Purely personally, I like being able to go to each of the manufacturers and chat to them about their various instruments - makers like NYTC, Eclipse, Galileo et al, are all such enthusiasts about their instruments that having the makers and instruments together is a definite plus point for me. It also means that they are able to advise - in other words, if you like certain aspects of one of their instruments, but are looking for something slightly different - they can probably suggest something else from their line.

The thought of one room with lots of piccolos - yes it could be fun if you were in there alone, but that wouldn't happen - it would be full of people not quite being able to play Brandenburg (going from past years).

And imagine the C trumpet room - how many Mahler 5's would be allowed at once?
As long as it's happy Mahler 5 ;)
