Question Stage 1 Trumpets...Help? I'm thinking about getting one.

Okay...So, I'm in the process of searching for a new horn. I had somewhat 'stumbled' upon Stage 1, and I am REALLY liking what I have read and heard so far, especially about Felix being SUCH a great guy to work with.
As it is, I am going to test horns at the TMEA convention, and I'm really starting to lean towards getting a Stage 1, most likely a California-though I love the sleek look of the NY. I'm going to be using it in many situations, like lead jazz, solo, wind ensemble, etc. I am just wondering what all of the options are?! I know there are a lot listed on the site, but from what I've heard, there are a TON more to think about...bell size, metal, leadpipe options, etc...the list goes on. I've already figured out that finish makes a negligable difference, and that comes from respected pros, even a Stage 1 artist himself, and the ITG journal. But there are, I'm sure, tons of other things to think about. I've read some stuff about the tuning slides, and I'm hoping that maybe he will let me get two-an oval one and a square one. But...I'm just trying to figure things out a little before I go to TMEA-that way I don't waste Michael Guevara's whole day! :) (the texas dealer for Stage 1 horns) Anyway...if any of you have any input/feedback about these horns, and what goes into getting one, please let me know! Not to mention..what kind of wait would I be looking at? (Don't get me wrong, I don't care, I want quality, but I'm just curious) Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read all this!
