| Re: Flugelhorn Mouthpieces I really like the Curry flugel pieces. I play a Bach 3 C on trumpet and a Curry 3FL. It is a good traditional deep V shaped cup and has a great sound and feel. As you play a Bach rim I would recommend the standard Curry rim; it is actually based on the Mt. Vernon rims, not the NY rims.
The Curry's are good value too. If you want a slightly more focussed and less volume to the sound with more ease in the upper register, as the 1525 is a large copper bell already producing a big deep rich sound, try the FLM. I am not sure which you would prefer.
