Guys,

For the Stravinsky I used a D trumpet and for the Tchaikovsky Bob and I used cornets. He has a bach c cornet and I used the orhestra's Bb Getzen with an old, old Conn Wonder mouthpiece.... very deep. It wasn't Osmo's idea to have us use them. I generally like to use a cornet where it's indicated if the part doesn't go too high like Prokofiev's R & J. We'll be using them again when we play Symphonie Fantastique if not before.
