John Wallace is one of the great gentlemen of the Trumpet world. I had the hono(u)r of meeting him at RAM when I went over there with the Brooklyn College Brass Ensemble, then spent time with him the following summer under the auspices of the Lake Placid program with Ed.
What a great bunch of guys. And holy cow, were we Brooklynites blown away and intimidated, dare I say, by the class at RAM.
