An article on leadpipes and their effect might be interesting as well. Also, what about different grades of brass or different types of brass, such as red brass, gold brass, and other composites. Maybe a bit about red-rot. What it is, what causes it, how best to prevent it, what to do if you notice it. And, (without disclosing your manufacturing secrets, of course) a bit about valve construction and the different materials and their pros/cons. For the young pups, maybe something about how to select an instrument; the differences between student lines, intermediate lines and professional models.
