Not exactly... the sizes sound simillar but they're really not. There is something around called a comparator that helps people determine sizes but I've never used it, so, I'm not sure.

Yes, you certainly can use it but it's not the absolute best because each mouthpiece is a different length and that length affects the intonation

[b]No... my recommendation is to buy a Bb mouthpiece and use that until you can get a C mouthpiece later IF you don't wish to buy two mouthpieces. By the way, people will recommend to you to buy imitations of these mouthpieces because they are cheaper and while they may be an improvement over other mouthpieces they are not Monette mouthpieces. Yes, and it can be confusing. You'll notice from the clips, especially the long one (7 and a half minutes with many players) that many of the Monette players don't move their embouchures... if you are such a player, the Monette mouthpiece may be a very nice improvement for you. If you tend to pivot a lot, you may not like it. I wish I could help more but without knowing your playing, those are the most general ideas I can give you. Good luck, whatever you decide. Will you be at the ITG conference? Maybe it would be a good idea to wait until then when you could try them in person?
