| Re: How cold? Tempe is the first suburb just East of Phoenix. With a record of 122 F in June 1990, it rarely gets down to freezing. On the news a couple of weeks ago, they mentioned that there were 10 days below 35 F last year!
Two nights ago they mentioned that we were going to have some of the coldest weather in a decade. They pulled up the stat that the lowest temperature ever recorded in Phoenix was 16 F back in the 1920s. The temp at my house on Monday night was officially 18 F! Yikes! We typically take a walk around my building at work after lunch (right at Phoenix Sky Harbor where the temp is recorded for Phoenix), and there was ice on the sidewalks (in the shade) at Noon on Monday!
Cold indeed for Phoenix!
