Re: Dillon's Tomorrow Unless your current horn is nearly un-playable my advice would be to put off the search until your chops are a little more conditioned. After just 3 months back you can't really make a sound judgement on what would be a good horn for you. Give your chops at least another 6 months. I base this on my own experiences. After several months my chops were changing and I found my preferences changed as well. What I feel comfortable playing now is not what I chose initially, you may be the same. And although I don't play one, I would add Getzen to that list of instruments. They have expanded the line and so far every one I tried is stellar and would compare favorably to any of the other choices. I also tried pretty much everthing suggested so far and all are great horns. It's the individual characteristics that seperate them. Good Luck! |
