Re: Blumine Recording

The Ghitalla Blumine was recorded with Ozawa and Boston on Deutsche Grammophon around 1977. The Blumine was excluded from the LP issue and Ghitalla never knew why. (Pretty damn pretty, after all.) Anyway, it came out on CD (1984?) on DG 'eloquence' coupled with a Berlin/Bohm/Fischer-Dieskau Ruckert-Leider. #289 469 660-2

Also of note: An LP (and perhaps later, a CD???) with Wyn Morris and the New Philharmonia Orchestra came out in 1982 on something called PRT Records. #GSGC 2045 The really cool thing about this one was that it featured the entire 1893 version, not just Blumine added to the Mahler 1 we all know!!! There are lots of very interesting differences in orchestration, even rhythms. Try to find it.
