Just keep the air flowing and the attacks will be there. You don't need to over articulate. Over-articulating and getting a forced tubby attack was my initial problem with the Monette, but all I needed to do was back off not work so hard. The Monettes give a little different feedback to the player, but the attack will go where it counts (out to the hall). Record yourself if you can, you'll probably be fine in a week or two. Or less.
