Lee Morgan is too marvelous for words!

Prior to Mr.Golson's departure, that band was known as "The Pennsylvania Messengers."

The guy on the piano was a man I also considered a friend in music back in my NYC days of the '60s. He is also a BARRETT Junior High School graduate of South Philadelphia. Can you imagine the headache that class especially those who were members of the Barsity Band gave their teachers ?

If one is to look for the description of "Blues and Funk" in the Schuylkill Dictionary of Jazz (1938 edition) they would find a picture of Mr.Timmons.
In addition, when one looks up Avery 'Blues After Hours' Parrish, the dictionary says: "See Timmons."
