[quote=wiseone2;288611]I regularly kicked Bobby Timmons rear end on the court.

I cannot sit silent without representing my man Bobby T.
First,I'm not diminishing or attacking your hoops skills but my nature,I cannot sit silent without representing Bobby T. a man I first met in 1963
As in the case with most trumpeters and reed players who protect their
lips and teeth against all "incoming" , pianist are most protective of their fingers.

The man I knew was no different to all the Philadelphians who settled in NYC
during my times ('60s) - they loved the hoops game.
If Bobby had'nt selected a career in music he would have convinced
J.Edgar Hoover that had he attended Overbrook High,he would be a starting guard in the NBA.

Bobby was much fun,he would say "The No Blood,No Foul" rule originated
in Philadelphia and he knew lots of cats (cannot now recall if Wilmer's name came up) who after a friendly game of hoops would be rushed to the emergency room of Methodist Hospital.

Wilmer,I hate to do this to you but back in the day with Bobby,et.al.
did you guys receive favorable treatment at the Diner at 15th & Snyder.

As I conclude,"This Here" by Bobby is now playing on WDUQ !

Who God Bless no man curse !
