I bought a Calicchio flugelhorn in copper. I bought it used, so I didn't have a say in the finish. It was unlacquered, and I had it lacquered as soon as I could. Maybe if I had waited it would have developed an even brown (or even green) patina. But I couldn't handle the black palm-prints that instantly appeared on the bell every time I played it.
