Wilmer,do you remember the "Clock Bar" below the Time & Life Building (subway level) on 50th Street & 6th Avenue ?
I loved my assignment in that area circa 1973,especially when Sam Ash was selling those Japanese woodwind instruments as far as Gino's in Philly was selling his cheesesteaks.
It was a haven for Boppers who had move up from the Village to Broadway. | Zoot had his own corner at the China song bar.
