Yea, TAB is BIG with non-reading string players. If you know the tune, it tells you where to put your fingers. You then have something to work with. As was said before, you have to know the rhythms. It does take a little time and you develop a knack for reading the, so it is weird that one wouldn't just leard to read music. I guess it's sort of like reading phonetic English, LOL....
