Re: Third valve blues........

The 3rd valve has the most problems because it is closer to the leadpipe. Ever notice that when cleaning student horns the "goo" that is in the 3rd valve? Everything spit into the horn travels from front to back - the 3rd valve just comes first. That also means more corrosion. The polishing that GZ mentions is the cure.
