Thanks for sharing in my happiness guys! She plays dreamy and warm. Very smooth, nice valve action (now that they are oiled and cleaned) and yet gets nice and "bold" (Clarence) when pushing the volume. I know there are some not so desirable Monkes out there, but this is not one of them. Petre has a matching C that plays wonderfully as well. I don't know how to check when they are made (any help would be appreciated), but I don't think this one is so new. I played one of John Wallace's old Monkes back in November just by chance and it played beautifully as well. Now, I am sure if I had a table with one of every brand offered today, I could find some great horns, but this one is special as it was given to me by someone I have a lot of respect for and who was very good to me my three years overseas (and since then). I am very pleased. It just feels great to finally have a rotary of my very own.
