It's on the Sonora label and can be found here: Amazon.com: Prokofiev/Shostakovich: Piano Concertos: Music: Sergey Prokofiev,Dmitry Shostakovich,Vladimir Fedoseyev,Yuri Simonov,USSR Radio Symphony Orchestra,Mikhail Ptukhov,Timofei Dokshitser
He, he it's a little expensive. But it's a great recording! TD plays with a cup mute in the 2nd. Wow, what passion!! It's very exciting! |
FYI, Dokshitser recorded his own transcription of the concerto on a cd called "Russian Treasures", available from ITG. He uses a cup mute in the 2nd movement. There also exists a video with excerpts of a performance of this transcription, which is available at
Tap Music Sales.
