| Re: Roy Eldridge I have studied and copied and transcribed all the greats. And I have to say there is no greater trumpet player ever than Roy Eldridge. Maybe several as good, but none better. He was a pint sized dynamo who could cut anyone, even Dizzy many times, even if Dizzy later returned the favor. One of my all time faves. He had a sound, excellent time, chops to burn and always expressed something. One of the trumpet immortals. He could play a solo in the staff that would break your heart, and then stretch to three and a half octaves to prove another point. What an immortal talent. Pittsburgh's finest.

Whose cruel idea was it for the word "lisp" to have an "s" in it?
