Re: Which Curry?

Mark makes the best "Bach" mouthpieces around, IMO. The standard models are, for the most part, direct copies of older Bach mouthpieces made when the Bach shop was in Mt. Vernon, NY. Mark has made some minor changes, e.g. the rim on his current 3C has changed from the rim he originally used.

His 7C is basically the same as a Mt. Vernon 7C - NOT an Elkhart 7C. (You can go to Kanstul's web site and use their mouthpiece comparator to see the differences between the two).

The 600 series is Mark's own design. The rim countour is not as "sharp" as the standard models. The 600 series was originally a shallower cup design more for commercial/cross-over playing, but he also uses the rim design for flugelhorn pieces as well. I'm not familiar with the TF or TC pieces.

The "50" in the number refers to the rim inner diameter. The model 50 in the 600 series has an inner rim diameter of 0.650".
