| Please help ID and unknown vintage cornet Greetings to those learned in brass lore,
I recently acquired a small cornet and I would like to know who made it. The only clues I have are as follows: It has some features I have come to associate with 1930's H.N. White King horns, such as the matte silver finish, the design of the valve caps and bottoms, and the valve block spacers. The problems is that the only lettering on it is the serial number on the second valve and "Made in Elkhart" on the bell flare. It has engraving on the bell that, to me, is reminiscent of the King logo but there is no manufacturer name. The bell is 4 3/8 inches across. This is the first time I've posted a photo so I hope it works...
Thanks,
Dave Taylor
