While my main player -- a Vocabell -- is modified enough to likely not be a valid data point, I have honked a reasonable amount in a past on a stock 48B Vocabell and thought my Reeves mouthpiece worked just fine.

Of course, I also think most of my cornet mouthpieces, long or short, deep or shallow, work just fine in my 80A cornet, an instrument that some players consider to be mouthpiece sensitive.

Maybe it isn't instruments so much as players that are mouthpiece sensitive...
