The Connstellations were wonderful horns in their time, and one in fine shape still is!

However, from the description of the one you were given, it is totally worn out and now is very hard to play.

I wouldn't recommend it to a new student like yourself, you'll just get frustrated trying to play on it.

Your instructor was kind to give you a horn to start with, but I'd definately recommend a horn in great condition if you can afford it, including good student horns.

You need a horn that is easy to play and that will not hold you back . . . or you'll give up in frustration!
