Re: Best mouthpiece for Olds Recording

Sorry but I seem to remember that some of the TM's felt there was a mouthpiece make that was a better fit than most....when taking into account the mouthpiece receiver of what is now a vintage horn. Gap was also another issue...perhaps I didn't make myself perfectly clear! Of course I realise there is no best mouthpiece......by what I have described hopefully more clearly I will get some wise words. I have a Recording coming later this week and of course will try my Monette mouthpieces but if the shank is too small or too big the gap will be an issue. ROWUK......I wasn't asking for the best mouthpiece in the world...it was qualified with "for an Olds Recording" If I'm still out to lunch on this I will take my 30 lashes with a wet noodle.
