speaking of 42nd street, my old highschool is doing it, and they're in the pre-dress rehearsal phase with full pit and cast. Being a college student near home, i go back and visit from time to time, and the 2nd part player from HS was away at regional band today, and will be tomorrow. So, i talked to the director, and he said i can sit in on his part today and tomorrow (so they can hear it with full pit orchestra). Today was fun, and im looking forward to tomorrow. I love playing in pit orchestras of musicals... some of my favorite playing... well, how often do you get to sight read musicals with full cast/orchestra?! Let me tell you, as if you dont know... its fun!
