MAKE SURE IT IS COMPLETELY UNLOADED!!!! Usually you would unscrew the magazine cap from the front of the fore end. Remove the fore end and barrel. Look into the front end of the magazine tube and see if there is a compression clip holding the magazine spring and plug inside the magazine tube. Carefully release the retainer clip as it is under tension from the spring under it. Once the clip is removed, the spring and plug should come out. Simply put the spring back in under tension and reinsert the retaining clip leaving the plug out. Put barrel, fore end, and screw cap back on the magazine and tighten the cap securely. It's only illegeal to hunt migratory birds without a plug. |
