Re: Looking at buying a Lawler C7

Mine was a yellow brass, medium bore that Roy made for me. It played very much like the chilke B6 with a fuller sound.

The Eclipse, yes I won the contest. I went to New Jersy and met Leigh and the crew that was there. I played a Solar Bell belonging to Trent Austin and another one which was displayed.

I also played every Eclipse trumpet AND flugelhorn that Leigh brought.

I was hooked before I ever recieved my own MS a few weeks later in the mail.

To me, the horns were the easiest playing and had the sound I was always looking for, not the just the MS but the MR and the large bell horns Leigh made.

I was one of those that thought to pay money for Monette, Eclipse or Taylor was just plain foolish. Well, that changed in a hurry. The horns ARE that much better.

My Lawler was a VERY good trumpet, plus it was made "just for me". After playing my own Eclipse it was obvious that the Lawler was not going to be used by me very often, if at all. I sold the Lawler for that reason only.

I was so impressed with Eclipse that I pursued Leigh about letting me havean Eclipse dealership of my own.
