Re: pre WWII Blessing trumpet

The older Blessings are superb horns. It has E.K. Blessing on it, correct?

E.K. Blessing was the valve maker for Vincent Bach in the day, if my memory isn't too hazy. His horns were solid performers, especially his "Super Artist," or the "Artist" model. Apologies if I forget the name of the model.

I played one of those old Blessings, that particular model. A student at the time got one from the help center, mint condition, for $100. The thing played superbly. Fantastic sound. A lot like an Olds Recording, honestly.

...The kid dropped it carelessly during a rehearsal, ruined it. I felt like vomiting when I heard.

Anyways, I recall there is a market, and there are buyers for these older horns, though they dont get the prices Bachs get.
