Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new publication, by Rich Willey, now available.
Rich is a fantastic trumpet player and teacher who has among many of his accomplishments toured with Maynard's Big Bop Nouveau playing the "jazz" chair.
IMO, This book is going to be for jazz players what the Arbans is for classical players......a very complete method which places emphasis on both technical and musical development.

I have been using a small "handbook" which Rich had published a few years ago. I have used the "handbook" exclusively for my jazz practise.....the new expanded method book makes things so much better because all exercises are written out in all the keys. The play along is also very helpfull in helping develop your personal style, which is probably the reason most of us want to be jazz players.
